Brian Chappell Sr

Brian Wayne Chappell Sr, 61, of LaPlace, Louisiana, passed away on December 11, 2025. He was the beloved son of Barbara P. Chappell and the late Donald Wayne (T.C.) Chappell. Brian grew up in Luling with his three siblings. It was during these years that he developed his love of animals and cars. Brian always had a dog by his side, whether it was a beagle, a Doberman, or a rescued Rottweiler. When he wasn't caring for his dogs, he was working on his first vehicle, a 1967 Camaro. He spent many happy hours working on his car and dreaming of the day he would compete in races. It did not take long before he was racing on tracks in Louisiana and Mississippi. His hobby led him to his career. Brian worked hard and eventually opened his own business, Brian's Towing, based in LaPlace. This business was an amazing accomplishment and a source of pride for him and his family. Brian loved his family and friends and never met a stranger. He was kind and generous to a fault. He will be missed by those who loved him. Brian is preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Chappell; his paternal grandparents, Jewel Edward Chappell and Naomi Louise Chappell; and his maternal grandparents, Troy Simon Parker Sr. and Margurite Waters Parker; and his Uncle, Troy Simon Parker Jr. Brian is survived by his mother, Barbara P. Chappell, whom he adored, his siblings and their spouses: Steven Todd Chappell (Sonja), Stephanie Chappell Cuny (Antonio), and Courtney Chappell. Brian leaves behind his children to continue his legacy: Brian Wayne Chappell Jr., Brittany Elizabeth Chappell, and their significant others, Daphne and Keith, respectively. Brian loved to refer to his daughter, Brittany, as his biggest fan and best friend. He will also be mourned by his grandchildren, Brian Chappell III, Natalie Chappell, Noah Chappell, and Caden Magner, who was Brian's constant companion, as well as his nieces and nephews. Brian was baptized at First Baptist Church in Luling and was currently attending worship services at Celebration Church in LaPlace. He sought comfort in scripture and would post them online. He is now at peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Millet Guidry Funeral Home at 2806 W Airline Hwy, LaPlace, Louisiana. Services will take place on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the service performed by Pastor James Singleton of Celebration Church at 11 a.m.
