Sharon Lee Rose

Sharon Lee Rose Sharon Lee Rose, died peacefully Jan 10th @ 3:16PM at her home in LaPlace, La. She was born August 14th, 1943, in Grosse Tete Louisiana and was preceded in death by her parents Paul Lee & Ella Irene Womax, sister Pamela Fine and brother Paul Dayne Womax. Sharon graduated from Leon Godchaux in Reserve, LA in 1961 as Salutatorian where she also enjoyed being on the women’s basketball team. Following graduation, Sharon pursued a modeling career in New York later to return to LaPlace where she then married Donald E. DuBose in 1963. Shortly thereafter, on May 4th, 1964, Sharon gave birth to her only child Blaine E. DuBose. Sharon was a very familiar face in the LaPlace community as she was employed many years by Riverlands National Bank later to finish her career as manager of Riverlands Golf & Country Club both located in Laplace. Sharon remarried in 1981 and is survived by her loving husband Donald Lee Rose of Kenner, La. her son Blaine and wife Loretta DuBose, step children Donald Rose III and Monica Rose, brother Blythe and wife Kelly Womax, sister Deborah Womax , brother-in-law’s Barry Rose, Stephen & wife Phyllis Rose, Randy and wife Maria Rose, sister-in-law’s Cherie Huffman, Lana and husband Terry Blanchard, grandson Justin E. DuBose, step- grandchildren Landon Mc Daniel and Monica Ming, nephews Dayne and wife Vanessa Womax, David and wife Stormy Womax and niece Alison Blanchard. Sharon was a lifelong member of First Methodist Church of LaPlace and thoroughly enjoyed singing in the choir as well as serving many years as Church Treasurer. She also enjoyed traveling most of the States in the US with her husband Donald in their motor home every moment they had and when they weren’t traveling, she enjoyed being with her family and watching LSU & Saints Football. Mom, you will be sorely missed and loved forever. God has acquired another beautiful Angel and may your soul rest in peace. My Mom’s response to use all would be: I am home in heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief are over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last. You must not grieve so sorely, For I love you all dearly still; try to look beyond earth’s shadows, pray to trust our Father’s will.
