Juliette Clement Alford passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the age of 100. She was a native and resident of LaPlace, LA. Juliette attended Normal College which is now Northwestern State University to pursue her degree. She was a dedicated educator who retired from St. John the Baptist Parish schools as Assistant Superintendent. Juliette was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Joan of Arc Church. She enjoyed gardening and nature. She was an avid reader and kept up with current events. She enjoyed being with family and friends to engage in interesting conversations. She was quick witted and it was a pleasure to visit her. She spent most of her time helping her family which consisted of 21 nieces and nephews. She had a gift of patience which she exhibited daily. She definitely lived for others, and she will be sadly missed by all. Beloved wife of the late James Alford. Daughter of the late Aline Melancon Clement and William Lionel Clement, Sr. Sister of Gerald Clement, Sr., Carmen Weber and the late Daniel Clement, Sr., Lilly Starkes, Nina Scalco, William Clement, Jr., Helen Satterlee, Melba Catoire, Roy Clement and Elizabeth Cehlar. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th St., LaPlace on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Visitation at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. Interment in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve, LA.
