Leda Mae Cassagne Madere passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the age of 91. She was a native of Reserve, LA and was a resident of LaPlace, LA. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence S. Madere, Jr. Loving mother of Belinda M. Millet (Eugene). Grandmother of Megan Millet Benton (Trinity) and Monica Millet Brewer (Dustin). Great grandmother of Teagen Benton, Aubry Brewer and Abigail Brewer. Daughter of the late Leelen Cassagne and Effie Thibodeaux Cassagne. Sister of the late Shirley C. Terrio and Leatrice C. “Cheesie” Keller. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Maison Oaks Assisted Living, Magnolia Assisted Living, The Crossing at Clarity Hospice and her caretaker Taz for their loving care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th St., LaPlace on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, LaPlace.
