Marian Bourgeois Madere passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the age of 88. She was born in Remy and was a resident of Montz, LA. Beloved wife of the late Joseph “Roy” Madere, Sr. Loving mother of Joseph “Boggie” Madere, Jr., Dennis Madere, Donna M. Poche (Pat), Judy Edwards and Gary Madere. Grandmother of Rae, Michele (Michael), Ryan (Sam), Jessica (Paul), Blaine (Becca), Rachel (Marty), Justin (Taylor), Gina, Bria, Austin (Lindsey). Daughter of the late Louise Louque Bourgeois and Ludovic Bourgeois. Sister of the late Elton Bourgeois, Russel Bourgeois, Rowena Stein and Noeda Matherne. Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Ormond Nursing Home and the staff of St. Catherine’s Hospice for their loving care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and Funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA on Friday, April 16, 2021.
