Patsy Roth Torres

Patsy Roth Torres peacefully passed away on February 4, 2024, surrounded by her adoring family. She was born to the late Alfred and Volena Bourgoyne Roth on October 18, 1936 in Plaquemine, Louisiana. She was the beloved wife of Donald Ernest Torres, Sr. for 67 years. They lived and raised their family in Reserve, Louisiana. Patsy lived a full life and was blessed with loving family and friends. She will be forever missed. She leaves behind her four children: Kelly Coudrain (Andre), Tracy Byrd (Timmy), Kimberly Clymer (Scott) and Donald Torres, Jr. (Shelly). Patsy adored her grandchildren that she referred to as the “Super Ten'' and was dearly loved by them: Timothy Byrd, Jonathan Byrd, Patrick Coudrain, Kathryn Coudrain Stoner, Olivia Clymer Schmidt, Stanton Clymer, Kristen Clymer, Ashton Torres, Morgan Torres and Madison Torres. Her grandchildren blessed her with 14 great grandchildren with one more on the way. Also, she is survived by her loving sister JoAnn Roth Daigle (the late Henry Daigle), sisters in law Nancy Torres Matherne (Durel) and Glenda Roth Murphy. She was preceded in death by in-laws Ernest and Ethel Tschirn Torres, brothers Philip Alfred Roth and Alfred Dupuy Roth and her nephew and god-child Mark Philip Roth. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful lifelong friends. Patsy was primarily a homemaker before volunteering at San Francisco Plantation Home, where she would go on to work as the manager of the home for 14 years. Her coworkers became the dearest of friends to her as they welcomed guests from near and far to the beautiful historic home located in Garyville, Louisiana. One notable guest she never forgot was astronaut and first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong. The family is very grateful for the compassionate care Patsy received from Dr. Navya Nair, MD, Shawna Morron PA-C and the numerous nurses and staff members who treated her with the utmost kindness during her year of treatment at LCMC in New Orleans, as well as Passages Hospice. Patsy never met a stranger. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 9, 2024 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1550 Hwy 44, Reserve, LA 70084. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery. Donations to St. Peter Catholic School in Reserve in memory of Patsy are being accepted.
